2008 Olympic Trials, Day 2. I don’t care how many times I watch this fluff, it makes me tear up every time. Looking back on how competitive it was, how many girls would be disappointed later that year. How all six of the girls on that team would make a comeback. Five of them went for 2012, and the other competed collegiately. There was a certain intensity during that competition that I didn’t quite feel at this past trials: Every girl there had to be perfect.
